✦ i, the artist, reserve the right to reject any commission for any reason, without disclosing the reason.✦ all commission-related communication will be conducted through email (or otherwise agreed-upon contact method).✦ these terms are subject to change without notice, but will not retroactively affect in-progress or completed commissions.

PAYMENT ━━ ✦

✦ payment is made upfront in USD, typically through a paypal invoice.✦ payment plans are not typically accepted for private commissions, but please reach out if you would like to request accommodation.✦ the commissioner is responsible for paying in addition a small transactional fee paypal (or other third party service) requires. this is an additional non-disputable 5% charge of the total.

REFUND POLICY ━━ ✦

✦ PLEASE NOTE: full refunds may be granted any time before i start the commission. (plans change, i understand!) however, once the sketch has been made, only a 50% discount will be provided. after the sketch phase, no refunds will be issued.✦ if i must cancel the commission due to unforeseen personal circumstances, a full refund will be issued to the commissioner.

COMMERCIAL USE ━━ ✦

✦ commission work for commercial use requires a detailed contract not listed here. please email [email protected] for details.

MONETIZED USE ━━ ✦

✦ commission work used in monetized streams / on profiles / in videos is permitted.✦ credit is explicitly required within a description, bio, or other publicly-available place. please feel welcome to share the content in which you use your commission with me, so i can support you in turn!

PROCESS & REVISIONS ━━ ✦

✦ you will provide as many high-quality references of your desired subject as possible. additional references of anything else in relation to the commission are greatly appreciated (including moodboards!).✦ for most commissions, i will send you an initial proof of concept / sketch that you will need to approve for me to continue.✦ i will provide work-in-progress (WIP) updates as agreed during the commissioning period. please see that any adjustments needing made during this time are communicated promptly!✦ once you receive the final piece, i can make very small adjustments. however, if you would like other changes to your finished commission, i will request a fee. if the change is clearly the result of an error on my part (for example, missing some details you specifically included in your order), the change will be free of charge.✦ the commission may be worked on publicly (for example, streamed on my twitch) unless requested otherwise. please notify me if you want the process to remain private.

ADDITIONAL TERMS ━━ ✦

✦ any form of harassment or inappropriate behavior will result in termination of the commission and no refund will be provided.✦ do NOT use my art for anything in relation to NFTs or AI generation. i do not consent.✦ do NOT directly reupload my work.✦ do NOT trace / copy / resell my work.

USAGE RIGHTS ━━ ✦

✦ the commission is for personal, non-commercial use only.✦ the commissioner may use the artwork as an icon, wallpaper, banner, or in personal profiles, provided credit is visible where appropriate. it may be used within content creation / streams with credit [see MONETIZED USE].✦ the artwork may not be used for merchandise, advertising, or promotional materials. the artwork is not for resale.✦ i, as the artist, reserve all rights to the illustration (not the character); therefore, i am allowed to use it in my portfolio and post the work on my social media. [exceptions can be made for discreet commissions.]✦ if it is not an original character, i reserve the right to create merch with the illustration after its completion.

CREDIT ━━ ✦

✦ the commissioner may not claim any artwork as their own, or present it as made by another party.✦ the commissioner must credit @hornetvoid when posting the artwork online, displaying, or using the work publicly in any way.✦ ideally, credit should include both the handle @hornetvoid and a link to my website hornet.crd.co.

DELIVERY, DEADLINES & TURNAROUND ━━ ✦

✦ turnaround time may range from 2-16 weeks, depending on the complexity of the order. additional time is always taken to achieve a quality result.✦ if the commissioner has a deadline, it must be communicated before payment. rush fees will apply.✦ the artist is not responsible for delays caused by lack of client communication.✦ the final artwork will typically be delivered as a high-resolution digital file via email or private link.✦ typically, no physical items will be shipped. the majority of my art constitutes digital illustrations and products.
